Completed in 1775, the Royal Crescent has been declared this structure “a building more magnificent than any I had seen” by composer Joseph Haydn. A landmark property consists of 30 houses, the centerpiece being the hotel. One of England’s most iconic buildings, the ‘Crescent’ is an outstanding architectural achievement of eighteenth-century Bath. A former Roman spa, royals and wealthy Europeans came to Bath to spend time in the famous thermal waters Throughout its storied past, the property has played host to celebrities, dignitaries, artists, authors and well-heeled travelers of all sorts.

It was the signature architecture of this idyllic English landmark that inspired one of our firm’s own projects. Tour this and more of our commercial work in our portfolio. For more inspiration, see our residential galleries.
