As a commercial architect with over 30 years of experience designing multi-family and mixed use projects, I am registered in multiple states including New York and Florida. My childhood love of art and science, drawing and building, guided my passionate path to becoming an architect. I received my Bachelors and Masters degree in Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology and studied for a year at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris.

During my time(as a student)  at Georgia Tech I co-founded a non-profit cause called The Mad Housers to provide shelter for the homeless. I am proud to say that it is still operating today. For this effort we received Architectural Record's Public Service Award for Housing and a grant from the American Institute of Architecture. A made-for-TV documentary resulted depicting the exploits of the Mad Housers.

Designing spaces to call home was my passion for the first ten years of my career. After that, I transitioned into the dynamic world of restaurant design creating spaces for people to celebrate and create memories. Over the next two decades I became a partner in the well-known Johnson Studio and worked on many exciting and challenging hospitality projects. These included restaurants on a Boston Harbor Pier, on a bridge in Dallas suspended over a freeway, in a rotating sky dome in Atlanta, and projects as far away as Dubai. But the most intriguing and challenging project is always the one I am currently working on.

At the Johnson Studio, I was the Architect of Record on all the firm's work as well as the Principal in charge of many of the firm's most important projects. Many of these have been featured in national publications and have received numerous awards including Esquire's Best Restaurant of the Year, the Atlanta Urban Design Award for Ecco Restaurant, and Zagat's favorite list for design and interiors.
